Kopid Lid Basket
"Kopid" is a vintage portable basket from the pangcah tribes. It is used to store rice balls or tools.
The structure of the lid bag is the purest form of carrying objects in an era when there were no buttons or hardware parts.
The Lid Bag is a nod to the old kopid baskets. It is a two-way bag and sized for daily needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Kamaro'an?+
Kamaro'an is a Taiwanese design brand rooted in the weaving traditions of Taiwan's indigenous Kavalan community. Each piece is handwoven using rattan, leather, and natural fibres by skilled local artisans, preserving a craft that has been practised for generations.
Are Kamaro'an pieces handmade?+
Yes. Every Kamaro'an bag and basket is handwoven by artisans, meaning each piece carries natural variations in weave pattern and texture. These variations are not defects - they are marks of authentic handcraft.
What materials are used?+
Kamaro'an works with natural rattan, plant fibres, and leather, sourced and processed in ways that respect both the craft tradition and the environment. Specific materials are listed on each product page.
How do I care for a Kamaro'an woven piece?+
Wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid immersing in water. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight, which can fade natural fibres over time. For leather-trimmed pieces, apply a small amount of leather conditioner periodically.
Does buying Kamaro'an support the artisan community?+
Yes. Kamaro'an was founded to sustain indigenous weaving traditions by creating a commercial platform for Kavalan artisans. Each purchase directly supports the continuation of this craft and the livelihoods of the weavers.
